Redefining the Drinking Experience with a Bold New Brand
L’alcool is a boutique liquor retailer on Auckland’s North Shore with a distinct mission: to guide and inspire customers toward a healthier relationship with alcohol through better product choice.
With just six weeks to bring this vision to life, we developed a comprehensive brand strategy, crafted a unique identity system, designed the store livery, built an eCommerce website, and created a suite of marketing materials.
Through brand strategy workshops, a simple yet powerful truth emerged: L’alcool isn’t just about selling liquor; it’s about changing drinking culture.
The name L’alcool itself, French for “alcohol,” reinforces this, drawing inspiration from the French approach to drinking: sophisticated, intentional, and to be savoured, not abused. The tagline Swirl, Sip, Savour embodies this philosophy, encouraging a refined, experiential approach to alcohol.
The visual identity is bold, vibrant, and fresh, striking a balance between sophistication and playfulness. Typography and illustrations add a lighthearted yet premium feel, reinforcing inclusivity and discovery.
L’alcool dares to challenge drinking norms, inspiring customers to explore beyond the familiar. By offering high-quality products and fostering a mindful drinking culture, the brand celebrates life’s moments with quality and integrity, one swirl, sip, and savour at a time.
