Pies to the People
Pies are a Kiwi favourite, and the Jesters franchise has been around serving up the staple in NZ since 1997.
Imported from Aussie along with the original branding, the Jesters NZ brand went through an unfortunate refresh in 2015, which sadly missed the mark. The result was a negative effect on brand recognition and engagement.
Combined with more competition in the pie market, NZ’s most loved pie started to become not the most loved anymore. As a franchise, this is a double blow; with a weakening brand, it’s not only difficult to keep customers loyal, but attracting potential franchisees becomes much, much harder.
Luckily, lessons were learned, and Jesters sought to engage us in a rebrand to help get things back on track.
To avoid any more identity crises, we backed the truck right up with a Brand Strategy workshop to determine who Jesters were and what they stood for before embarking on a full brand identity redesign.
